National law firm Shoosmiths’ has appointed finance lawyer Adam Chamberlain as a corporate partner into the London office.

 

With previous roles at Addleshaw Goddard, Macfarlanes and most recently as a senior associate at RPC, Adam specialises in development and hotel finance, further strengthening Shoosmiths’ real estate finance expertise. Adam will sit within the banking team.

As co-author of the BVCA Guide to Real Estate Funds and with experience gained working in the offices of a German law firm and UK financial institution, Adam brings a wealth of knowledge and versatility to the Shoosmiths team. His work also encompasses corporate lending and restructuring, asset finance, fund finance and borrowing base finance.

Acting on behalf of both lenders and borrowers, Adam has worked on numerous high value transactions in relation to various types of debt including secured and unsecured, international and domestic, bilateral and syndicated that has been structured for limited partnerships, unit trusts, joint ventures and on and off shore companies.

Adam’s clients range from debt funds, clearing and private wealth banks to developers, corporates, student accommodation providers and hotel groups.

 

Shoosmiths’ corporate team advises public and private companies, management teams, investors and debt providers through the business life cycle. Shoosmiths work with businesses from start-up and first round finance through to mergers and acquisitions, MBO and MBI transactions, development funding and on exits, by way of sale, listing or private equity investment.
