Lindsay Beardsell

Tate & Lyle

Lindsay Beardsell has a strong reputation for seeing companies through challenge and transformation. As part of Tate & Lyle, she has taken a leading role in transforming its business since arriving four years ago. Driving its purpose-driven mission to improve lives through the science of food, she has worked on many major projects.

Responsible for divesting its primary products business to private equity house KPS Capital Partners, over three years Beardsell has built the deal from the ground up. The £1.3bn sale completed last April involved the setting up of 20-year supply agreements and an understanding of the business operations from top to bottom. In China, she oversaw the acquisition of Quantum Hightec as Tate & Lyle pursues its ambitious ideas for growth.

Beardsell has been at the forefront of getting the business ready for the next stage of its growth in solutions and innovation. From taking sugar out of certain products to making convenience foods healthier, she works with commercial partners to make a better, more science-based food industry fit for the future.
