DAC Beachcroft has signed agreements with two Latin America firms in Costa Rica and Peru.

The firm has formed associations with Costa Rica-headquartered BLP and Peruvian firm Torres Carpio Portocarrero & Richter (TCPR).

BLP is significantly larger than TCPR, with 26 partners across nine offices in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatamala, Nicaragua and Honduras.

Four TCPR partners are based in the Peruvian capital Lima.

DAC Beachcroft has been on a mission to grow its Latin America practice, opening an office in Miami last year, as well as signing an exclusive alliance with Madrid-based Muñoz Arribas Abogados.

David Pollitt, who was named as the firm’s managing partner in July 2015, said strengthening DAC’s presence through the Muñoz Arribas deal and bringing more Latin American expertise into the London office was an immediate priority.

The firm already has an established Madrid office and as well as practices in Bogotá, Mexico City and Santiago (18 May 2012).

Last week, DAC Beachcroft posted revenues of £102m at the half-year mark – a rise of just 1.2 per cent. Last year DAC saw its turnover break the £100m barrier for the first time.
