DWF and Eversheds have won places on Tata Chemicals Europe’s (TCE) first panel review, along with Addleshaw Goddard and Clyde & Co.

TCE general counsel Phil Davies launched the company’s first panel review back in October, with the panel set to run for three years.

DWF and Eversheds have been appointed to advise across a range of practice areas, including major projects.

Major projects work will also be handled by Addleshaw Goddard, while the firm has further been chosen to handle competition matters.

Clydes has additionally won a role on the company’s first panel, serving as a specialist law firm to handle health and safety and environment work.

Clydes is joined by Manchester-based Land Law and Myerson Solicitors, who have been appointed to take on property and employment aspects respectively.

Davies called in an external provider named GC Hub to run the review, with the platform due to be used for the subsequent operation of the panel.

“As a small legal function, we have previously found it difficult to devote sufficient time and resource to run a full panel process,” he said. “We will now be using GC Hub to manage the on-going operation of the panel over the next three years to keep quality, services and costs under review.”

TCE, which also incorporates British Salt and Winnington CHP, is a subsidiary of Mumbai-based chemicals giant Tata Chemicals.

Tata Chemicals names a number of law firms as its main advisers, including Indian firms AZB & Partners and Mulla & Mulla & Craigie Blunt & Caroe.
